Service boards for Merchants Manor’s inaugural opening event. Cornish oak from Tregothnan estate was used, which is slow growing and holds many interesting grains and burrs. The oak was then milled in Mabe, and finished in Falmouth.
Featured on the boards is the Merchants Manor logo, which is revealed underneath the food whilst eating. A knife slot to hold a steak knife. A groove to prevent spills, and a handle underneath to make it easier for waiting staff.
The story comes together as;
- Oak sourced from Tregothnan estate, Cornwall.
- Milled and finished in Mabe and Falmouth.
- Finally guests ate Venison reared on Tregothnan estate, the same place the oak grew for over 150 years.
